ছবির পাশে অক্ষর আছে, কিন্তু ছোট বাবুর চোখ আগে ছবিতেই থামে। সেই আগ্রহ ধরে কথা বলুন। পরে পরিচিত কোনো নামের প্রথম অক্ষর খুঁজতে বললে একই পাতা নতুন খেলা হয়ে ওঠে। বইটি পরীক্ষার খাতা নয়; একসঙ্গে দেখার জায়গা।

৬–১৮ মাসে ছোঁয়া, পাতা ধরা ও ছবি দেখা; ১৮–৩৬ মাসে পরিচিত ছবির নাম ও ছোট কথোপকথন; ৩–৫ বছরে আগ্রহ অনুযায়ী অক্ষর ও ধ্বনির খেলা। অক্ষর মুখস্থ করা ছোট বাবুর কাজ নয়। বড়দের সঙ্গে বই দেখুন; কাপড়ের লুপ শরীরে পেঁচাতে দেবেন না।

An alphabet page can be useful before a child is ready to identify letters. Share the picture first, then return to the printed symbol when interest grows. Looking for the beginning of a familiar name gives later letter play a personal reason.

At 6–18 months, explore touch, pages and pictures. At 18–36 months, name familiar images and share short exchanges. At 3–5 years, offer optional letter and sound games. Do not expect babies to memorize symbols. Share the book with an adult and keep fabric loops away from the body.
